Anyone tried Flatcar Linux on the RK1 ?

Now that much more people get to experiment with the RK1 module, curious to know if anyone tried to install flatcar linux on them if it works.

SBCs are different a bit from PCs - you cannot just "install" an OS on them, the images must be specifically prepared for a given board.

well they support raspberry pi so it's not only a PC thing https://www.flatcar.org/docs/latest/installing/bare-metal/raspberry-pi/

Whilst similar in some respects the RPi and RK1 also have some significant differences. I don't see a build of Flatcar for the RK1 so you'll have to wait to see if someone creates one, or create one yourself if you have those skills.

As I said, each SBC must have a dedicated image. You just did show us exactly that - there is one for RPi for this very reason 🙂
If they prepare one for RK1, then you'll be able to flash it

@DhanOS (Daniel Kukiela) is there a way to make your own image, and what would be the challenges of that? i'm quite interested

You can use hashicorp packer which ain't that difficult for building images

I'll be looking into that, Thanks!
