"With great power comes great responsibility." Do not attempt to upgrade a TPi v2.3/v2.4 running BMC-Firmware v2.0.5 to BMC-Firmware v2.1.0 via the OTA function. You must do a fresh install of BMC-Firmware v2.1.0 from micro SD. There were BMC NAND format and/or loader (u-boot) changes.
tpi eeprom
will display an incorrect board version number after a successful upgrade. There is a way to program the firmware and eeprom fields correctly. You must fully understand how the
factory
image, intended for the v2.5.2 boards, works. It's straightforward if you know how to read through the /etc/init.d scripts, strip out the majority of test scripts, and set up the micro SD card so that it doesn't automatically invoke the install process. You'll need to do a fresh BMC-Firmware v2.0.5 install to fix your board.
