Hahaha. 😝 Puzzles are great. But technically the RTC is not needed. The BMC is basically powered on constantly and there is network connectivity which means the RTC is purely optional and does not add a lot of value... So you're right that it's "not needed". But this is all about "because I can" and not "because I need"
