Hi there, I realize that most of the photos of the Turing-Pi show backplanes plates. Was I supposed to receive it with the main board which I got from the kickstarter campaign? How could I get it?

Hey there! What do you mean by the backplane plates? What did you receive when you ordered from the kickstarter!

@Pacool means the metal I/O shield. It is a separately orderable part: https://turingpi.com/product/io-shield/
Note that this version of the I/O shield is for the v2.3/v2.4 board. The v2.5 board has a slightly different rear connector layout.

Ah, OK, thank you !
I did not notice it was sold separately.
But with a $5 price tag for $7 shipping, I will have to tell my wife that I had to order another main board in order to save on the shipping 😅
