It's also very difficult to communicate through a flashing light without some kind of prearranged code (e.g. Morse code). There are some things which are pretty universal: a rapidly walking LED after pushing a button is a good "something is happening" indicator. But there's no real universal way of saying "Things are OK, pull the plug now!" 😔
